Alex and Ashley are engaged!
30 Jun
I’m usually glued to this computer screen at all hours of the day, answering emails, planning my schedule, and editing away at all the shoots I’ve done lately. I’ve taken a little bit of a break this week to tackle a project I always thought I’d leave to a professional: reupholstering our retro 60′s office chair. I have no experience in reupholstery or working with fabric like that… in fact, I don’t even know how to use a sewing machine, I hand-sew everything… so why on this green earth would I even attempt something like this? That’s what I was asking myself halfway through sawing a block of foam with a kitchen knife earlier this afternoon. But thankfully, this evening, I totally finished it, and it looks AWESOME! Way better than I even imagined, and somehow it made me feel all the more creatively inspired to plunge back into editing and come up with some awesome new things at KMP. I don’t know about you guys, but every once and awhile I need to do a creative project to inspire all other creative areas in my life! :)
Our next couple (Ashley and Alex) are total troupers. I met them at Starbucks to start our engagement session, and it was raining like crazy! We decided to buy drinks and wait out the storm for awhile, and luckily about 40 minutes later, the sun came out and we were ready to go! They were so patient and totally ready for anything, and that’s why I’m so excited to shoot their wedding in the coming months!
