Luke and Andrea came to their first meeting with me knowing that they wanted to do a little studio setup that involved painting a heart with their wedding date… how fun is that? So we met in the west loop at my church and did just that! We got to do a few photos afterward in the lobby, around the neighborhood, in a park, and all around the west loop, and it was fantastic to get to know these two as we walked around a part of the city that is so close to my heart.

If these two came straight away with an idea like this, I can’t wait to see what their wedding holds! Super fun/adorbs/creative!

It makes me so hungry! We got to shoot in a little awesome cupcake shop called Sweet Mandy B’s near Lincoln Park, and then wander around one of my fave places in Chicago: the Caldwell Lily Pool. Sidenote: if you ever get the chance, find this spot! Whenever we go, there’s hardly anyone there and it’s such an amazing little paradise in the middle of cityscape.

Such a beautiful location with a wonderful couple (hi guys!), how could you go wrong?

So when I showed up to Cantigny for an early morning shoot, I was so happy to find this friendly, excited, beautiful couple! What a great start to the day. Congratulations!
