You know what is my favorite? When a couple is like, “I want you to shoot our engagement photos!” and I’m all, “of COURSE I will shoot your engagement photos!” and then they’re like, “we will do whatever you want, do your creative thing!” and then I’m like, “you are awesome.” And that’s pretty much what happened during this session at Herrick: we trudged through dense bushes, threw leaves, and ran down hills, all for the sake of capturing these two in love! Dennis and Kate are two excited, all-smiling, happy people who love each other to pieces and are just a joy to be around — what more could you ask for? :)

This time of the year can be so awesome, because for me, things start to slow down and I can really enjoy the festivities and Christmas spirit! Not only that, but I can take on a few sessions that I normally can’t in the busy wedding season, like the Sander family! 2 amazing parents, 3 awesome kids, and 1 cute pup made for 1 Herrick Lake session that was an absolute pleasure. I had a blast chasing around these kiddos and capturing their family do what they do! We hunted for pinecones, had a jumping contest, made goofy faces and enjoyed the last throws of fall. Thanks, Sander family, for being so great!
